More Than a Memory:

Why You need to step in front of the lens mama

We spend so much of our lives as the curators of our family’s history. As mothers, we are usually the ones holding the phone, capturing the first steps, the messy spaghetti faces, and the birthday candles. But have you ever stopped to ask: Where am I in these stories?

Whether you are in the glowing (or not) days of pregnancy, navigating the beautiful (and/or hard af)  haze of the newborn stage, or wrangling a busy family in the heart of Thetford, your presence is the heartbeat of your home.

Here is why a motherhood or family session isn't just a luxury ,it’s legacy.

The Fleetingness of "Now"

We often think we’ll remember the way our children’s hair feels or the specific way they lean into us when they’re tired. But time moves SO quickly, and our lives change in subtle, quiet ways. A documentary-style photo shoot isn't about perfectly posed smiles; it’s about capturing the fleetingness of time.

In my sessions across Norfolk, I focus on the raw, honest connection. I want to document the way you move, the way you soothe, and the way you lead your family. These are the details that change as the years pass, and they are the ones most worth holding onto.

To the Mum Behind the Camera: It’s Your Turn

I say this time and time again (and I will very likely say it until the cows come home and then some, because it matters ) This is a call to all the women who are always the ones taking the photo. Your children don’t care if you haven't "lost the baby weight" or if you're having a bad hair day. When they look back at these photos in twenty years, they will only be looking for you.

By stepping in front of the lens, you are ensuring that your children have a visual record of your love, your presence. You are the matriarch, the main character of their childhood story. You deserve to be seen.

Documenting Life, Not Just Milestones

You don’t need a graduation or a "big" event to justify a photo shoot. Your life is happening right now, in the "ordinary" moments.

Maternity & Newborn: Capturing the beginning of a new chapter.

Motherhood Sessions: Focusing on the unique bond between you and your children, no matter their age.

Family Documentary: Recording the beautiful, chaotic, and real life you are building and how it evolves .

While I offer curated, posed portraits upon request, my most popular work is documentary and lifestyle photography. This style allows you to simply be with your family while I capture the magic that happens when you think no one is looking.

Creating a Tradition and a Core Memory

Id love for you to think of a photo session as a new family tradition. Instead of a stressful chore, we make it a fun afternoon, a moment of pure connection that becomes a core memory for your children. They will remember a day where Mum was present, playing, and laughing, rather than watching from behind a screen.

Your Story is Worth Remembering

Your legacy isn't just about the big milestones; it’s about the everyday love that defines your family. Whether you are local to us in Thetford or the surrounding East Anglian countryside, let’s document the woman at the center of it all. Im all about YOU.
