"What If Everything Goes Wrong?"

Although care is placed to anticipate the weather and come prepared we’ve all been there. You’ve booked the session, picked the outfits, and then you look at the forecast: Wind. Cold. A toddler who skipped their nap.

Your instinct might be to panic or postpone. But at Untamed Muses, some of our most soul-stirring galleries come from the days that weren't "perfect."

Here is how we navigate the elements to find the magic.

Embrace the Movement

If it’s windy, don’t fight it. Wind is a natural editor; it adds life to your hair, flow to your dress, and a sense of cinematic scale that a static studio simply can't mimic.

Pro Tip: Let go of the "perfect" hairstyle. Let it whip. It looks far more editorial than you think.

The Power of the Huddle

When it’s colder than anticipated, we don’t just stand there and shiver, we use it.

Some of the most intimate "connection" shots happen when a family has to huddle under a thick wool blanket or when Dad wraps his coat around Mama.

Those photos will feel warm, protective, and deeply real.

Let the Toddler Lead

A "last-minute" session or a change in routine (like Dad coming home from deployment!) can make little ones extra spicy.

Our Philosophy: We don’t force the "sit and smile." If they want to run, we run. If they want to pout under a blanket, we capture that moody sweetness. When the pressure to "behave" is removed you may find genuine expression can be as memorable as a smile.

Trust the "Glorious" You

To the mamas: you are growing a human. Whether the sun is out or the North Sea is howling, your presence is the centerpiece. A bit of sea salt and a chill in the air only highlights your strength.

You aren't securing a perfect weather day (but wouldn't that be amazing) you are secure a memory making moment. The flyaway hair and the huddling are the markers of a day you lived together.
